Hand stitched padded Watch Strap

★★★★★ (3)
Tax included.

In this course you will make a padded watch strap. Learn how to create this watch strep from start to finish: from a pattern that matches your pricking irons and specific measurements, to a finished product to take home and be proud of. You will get to know more about how to choose the right top and bottom leather for your project and how to integrate two different reinforcement materials to strengthen your design. During this full day course you’ll practice different techniques: install a buckle, improve your hand stitching skills and get more experienced in edge finishing.

Each step is shown and guided by a professional trainer and then performed by the participants themselves. The informal workshop setting and small group of participants allow a flexible structure so that everyone can go at their own speed and can learn from one another.

The participant is responsible for arranging the materials in time.

Therefore, place an order as soon as possible, so that you have the materials at home prior to your participation. Do you want us to prepare your order for you on the course day? The materials that Leatherbox provides are on loan and intended to be able to follow the workshop. These materials remain the property of Leatherbox. You can take home the design you make during the workshop.

There is a minimum and maximum number of participants for each workshop or event. Is a workshop fully booked, but would you still like to participate? Leave your details on the waiting list. Then you will be the first to receive a message if a spot becomes available, or if a new date is scheduled. Is the minimum number of participants not reached? Then Leatherbox has the right to move or cancel the workshop. In that case you may leave your registration for the new date, or cancel it free of charge.

About the Teacher

Christina Roth

Christina Roth is a leather goods manufacturer and restorer based in Salzburg, Austria. After setting foot in a saddlery workshop for the first time she was fascinated by the sound of the old wooden floor and the smell of leather. Christina is a real ambassador for her profession as she participated in several television programs (ORF, Puls4) and collaborates as a jury member in competitions. Furthermore she was hired by Domestika, one of the largest online learning platforms, to design a bag making course that was launched in autumn 2022 and was translated in seven different languages.
