The Novonappa® Muscat collection is a refined variation on the legendary Novonappa flagship from Tanneries Haas, reinterpreted through one of its most iconic textures. Built on the same double-tanned foundation, combining chrome tanning with vegetable tanning, this collection builds upon tradition with a bold yet timeless embossed character.
To achieve its distinctive look and performance, the leather is first tumbled to enhance suppleness and depth, then carefully embossed. This process results in a calfskin that is slightly more flexible and more resilient than classic Novonappa, with the texture offering added resistance to daily wear while preserving the unmistakably natural feel of the original article.
Like all Novonappa leathers, the Muscat collection remains a very “naked” and open article. It is intentionally minimally finished to retain its authentic appearance, which also means it is more sensitive to cutting loss compared to more corrected leathers, even within this high-end segment. Natural markings and variations are part of the leather’s character and should be kept in mind, even within this level of quality and exclusivity.
Please note that due to the maximum embossing plate size, when purchasing a half hide, a small portion of the skin may remain unembossed (up to approximately 15%). This is an inherent aspect of the production process and not a defect.
